Meet Local Legends and Talent

Shadows, sound, and spectacle — brought to you by our vibrant community of local talent. Step forward and meet some of the artists behind the enchantment.

Kristy O'Hare

Artist

Kristy O'Hare is a Texas-based mixed media artist who creates expressive, story-driven works through layers of acrylic paint, collage, texture, and dimensional embellishments. Her creative process is largely intuitive, allowing each piece to develop naturally as she works and giving every painting its own personality and story. Inspired by emotion, literature, nostalgia, and the beauty found in unexpected details, Kristy especially enjoys creating artwork that invites the viewer to look closer and discover something new.

Kristy grew up in the Midwest, and her love of art deepened as a young adult while traveling throughout Europe. Visiting museums and seeing the works of masters such as Van Gogh and Rembrandt left a lasting impression on her—not because she wanted to imitate their work, but because they inspired her to discover a creative voice of her own. Through years of self-study, research, experimentation, and countless hours in her home studio, Kristy explored color, texture, mixed media, and unconventional materials until her own distinctive style began to emerge.

That love of storytelling through art is especially evident in her Nevermore Collection, inspired by the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. What began organically with a single painting grew into an entire collection, with each piece incorporating imagery, texture, symbolism, and carefully chosen details that connect the artwork to Poe’s stories and poetry.

Kristy continues to approach painting with curiosity and a willingness to experiment, believing that some of the most meaningful pieces develop without a rigid plan. Her hope is that her artwork brings beauty, emotion, joy, and a sense of discovery into the homes, offices, and businesses where it is displayed.
